AGAMA with support from All Cats Are Beautiful and ChelleOT

AGAMA is the music project and alter ego of singer, composer and producer Cassandra Gurling. Born and raised in Birmingham and now based in London, Cassandra is a classically trained vocalist and choir director.

AGAMA will be performing music from her EP Safe In Noise and will be accompanied by her 7-piece band consisting of rich horns, dreamy synths and soulful backing vocals.

Supporting AGAMA will be music from all cats are beautiful and poetry from ChelleOT, accompanied by strings composed by AGAMA exclusively arranged for this show.

All Cats Are Beautiful

All Cats Are Beautiful are an all female/non-binary collective of multi instrumentalists based in East London. They blend lo-fi pop aesthetics with contemporary r’n’b production and rich choral harmonies. With two well received EPs under their belts and a full length in the works for late 2020, a/c/a/b are building a dedicated following around the world with their intricate yet catchy take on pop music.

ChelleOT

Michelle Tiwo is a queer Nigerian/Togolese actor, poet and writer. A Barbican young poet alumni and 1/3 of Sistren Collective, their work explores familial dynamics, youth culture, identity and religion and what it means to be raised in Sarf East London. With work spanning across radio, poetry, theatre, film and music- there is no art form off-limits, when it comes to fully realising the perspective of this emo with a sunshine aura.
